Cable tester

Cable tester for coaxial cables – Cable tester

Our new Timag 100 tester quickly and easily tests a coaxial cable for transmission quality or attenuation at specified frequencies using a reference cable.

One or more frequency ranges are tested by means of signal transmitters up to 3.8GHz. No programming knowledge is required to teach the test – one or more reference cables are sufficient.
The “Timag 100” was developed for service and quality assurance, cable testing and cable diagnosis of coaxial cables.

Advantages:

  • simple instruction – without programming
  • fast and reliable testing of cables
  • store and manage up to 100 different cables
  • Can be used without prior

Fire properties of coaxial cables

Many coaxial cables are designed to withstand high temperatures of up to 200°C without damage. These usually have a dielectric made of PTFE and an outer sheath made of FEB, PFA or PTFE. Cables with a dielectric and sheath made of Kapton are even temperature-resistant up to 250°C.

Please note: If temperature-resistant cables are assembled with the matching connectors and bend protectors, the maximum temperature is always that of the component with the lowest temperature resistance. If the coaxial cable is suitable for temperatures up to 200°C, but the connectors are only suitable for temperatures up to 100°C, the …

HALOGEN-FREE COAXIAL CABLE

Cables which comply with this standard, are made from halogen-free and flame-retardant sheath material. In case of fire, this guarantees a lower smoke development and is thus a regulation for permanent installation in inner rooms and buildings.

Protective tube steelflex for coaxial cables

Highly flexible and very resistant protective sheath with FLEXASteel. Internal diameter of the hose available from 3 mm to 14 mm. Reinforcement and protection of your coaxial cable through additional protective sheath made of steel. The used coaxial cables in use on machines and in the automotive sector are thus more durable.

Our spiral-coiled hoses up to + 400 ° C are available upon request.
Tested IP40 to EN60529.

Application area:
Machines with flying sparks,
Protection of the coaxial line against damage,
enhanced rub resistance and kink protection

Cable assembly in corrugated tube

Corrugated tube

The flexible hose or flexible tube, is a safe to walk on hose made of polyamide P6. With this kind of protection it is possible to bundle several lines in a tube and protect them from external influences.

Common sizes:
Inner diameter: 7 mm, Outer diameter: 10 mm

Application area:

  • Installation
  • Mechanical and plant engineering

We have a large selection of products for the cable protection, protective tubes and protective metal tubes. Not all of the products we have in stock are depicted in the following overview. We suggest to specify the desired article in your request.

PTFE – coaxial cables

PTFE Polytetrafluoroethylene, also known by the brand name Teflon®, dissolvent and temperature resistant up to 260°C, best electrical properties, but high material costs. PTFE is a hard material and is used as dielectric and as cable sheath.

Non-halogen coaxial cables

Cables and lines which are compliant to this norm, are made of non-halogen and flame-retardant sheath material. In case of fire, this guarantees a low smoke development and is therefore prescribed for permanent installations in indoor spaces and buildings.

Specified in the regulation: IEC60332-3, DIN VDE 0472-804
