With the help of our D-Sub kits, you are guaranteed to achieve consistent high quality and spacing inside the housing, even with thin coaxial cables. They provide you with everything you need to make your own D-Sub adapter or cable whip.
Such an adapter can consist of 2-10 single cables, whereby the limitation mostly results from the diameter of the used cable type. 10 cables with a large diameter tend not to fit through the grommet of the D-Sub housing, so it would be advisable to use a thinner cable.
The circuit boards with optimized layout are just thick enough to fit between the contacts, saving you the hassle of soldering the individual cables to the D-Sub connector. On our homepage you will also find all information about the pin assignments in a clear format.

Tip for the right cable:
When a PCB is used in conjunction with a coaxial cable, the coaxial cable must have a temperature resistant dielectric. Usually cables with a FEP sheath such as RG316, RG178 or Multiflex 86 are recommended.

Our passive signal connection box is equipped with BNC sockets as well as a 37-pin D-Sub socket. By default, the signals are all passed on 1:1 to the pins of the D-Sub connector. Signals can also be transmitted over longer distances using a suitable connection cable. The common connection via the D-Sub connector enables the connection cable to be changed quickly without having to disconnect an individual BNC connection.
We offer our breakout box in various standard versions with 6, 8, 12 or 18 BNC sockets. The connection is made via a standard D-Sub female connector or according to customer specifications.

Suitable connection cable for your D-Sub Breakout Box
The connection box makes it possible to tap all signals via a BNC socket. Either a standard 37-pin D-Sub cable or a cable whip specially manufactured by us can be used for this purpose.
The LCF14-50J Cellflex® is a corrugated sheathed cable with LowLoss property of the category 1/4 inch / 50 Ohm also known as 1/4″ CELLFLEX® Superflexible Foam-Dielectric Coaxial Cable.
The LCF14-50J has a corrugated shield made of solid copper, a dielectric made of foam PE and an inner conductor made of copper-plated aluminum. The outer sheath, also made of PE, makes it ideal for outdoor applications.
Applications: Antennas, high stability connections to base stations, military equipment.

Corrugated cables with low loss properties, such as the Cellflex® variants, are usually also referred to as semi-flexible cables. In addition to a strong electrical performance, they also have an extremely robust design, which makes them ideal for applications in radio systems. Due to their PE jacket, they can also be used outdoors, where they are used for mobile phone base stations, HD TV and mobile internet, among other things.
A side effect of the special design with corrugated shielding is that this type of cable is only suitable for fixed installation. An application with frequent movement frequency is not compatible with the high bending radius. However, the cables offer excellent technical values, low losses and a high shielding effect.
