FAKRA connectors (according to DIN 72594-2) are mainly used in vehicles or in the automotive sector. They are used to connect GSM mobile radio and GPS antennas or to transmit camera data. With up to 13 different mechanical and colour markings, the FAKRA plug and the FAKRA socket are protected against confusion.
